LOCATION
|
DESCRIPTION
The fastest, biggest and most fun group ride on a Tuesday night in Arlington. This ride has three separate groups and three different loops; therefore, any level of rider will have a group to to ride based off their riding ability / desire. This group ride is one of the largest ones in all of the Greater Washington area (especially on the first Tuesday of every month where free food & drink are provided). Rider counts numbering close to 250 have been known to show up for this ride. Riders are escorted out of Arlington via police motorcycles/cars at a slow pace and then the ride splits depending on which group you are in. The ride begins and ends at the Freshbikes shop. It is an absolute NO QUESTION that riders need to obey the rules of the road in order to maintain a safe biking environment. Outside of these safety measures, this ride is a great way to meet a large portion of the cycling community in DC. Ride time = Approximately 1 hour.
