DC/NOVA/MD - Group Rides
Looking to ride with others in and around Washington, DC? Perfect. There are a plenty of groups rolling out from numerous locations around the nations capitol. Please refer to the following pages for more specific information regarding the group rides surrounding this city:
*Please note group rides have been labeled using the scale below. These ratings are based upon personal experience by riders who have attended the rides and are meant to provide insight as to the nature of the ride. If a ride has multiple paces indicated it is because multiple groups leave from the same location. We at DCpaceline strive to ensure our ride ratings are appropriate based upon our knowledge and experience with the rides. All people participating in the group rides should always take the necessary precautions for everyone's safety. The paces of groups may vary by week depending on the skill level of the riders attending.

Description
Rides at this level are considered "race pace." Riders should be very experienced on their bike and able to hold paces of 22+ mph. Additionally, riders should be able to find their way home if they are not able to keep pace with the main pack of riders. Rides are for people experienced and comfortable riding in groups. Riders should be able to hold paces on their bike of 18-22 mph. We like to consider these rides social, or "no-drop," rides. No riders will be left behind on these rides and it is a great way to have fun, socialize and enjoy the sights. If you come to this level ride and try to race others ... A special classification which applies for rides specifically aimed at people less than 18 years old. Please refer to the ride description for further detail regarding paces. |
**In many of our group rides we provide a link to the sponsoring team who hosts the ride. While we strive to have the most updated and relevant information available regarding the rides we encourage users to double check the sponsoring team's website for any last minute changes.
